Mr. Alex Daniel:

Funeral for Alex Daniel (Rajan), will take place Saturday, September 8th. Our Vicar and several of our members will be in attendance:

Weekend Updates

1) Friday (9/7)-

St. Mary’s Nativity Feast- Evening Prayer begins at 6:30pm followed by Holy Qurbana

2) Saturday (9/8)-

MGOCSM Back to School Conference- at our Church, 9am – 2pm

MGOCSM Career Fair- Immediately following the Conference

The Prayer Meeting originally scheduled for this evening has been postponed to a later date.

3)Sunday (9/9)- Holy Qurbana will be celebrated in Malayalam;

I Peter 2: 1-5

I Corinthians 3:16-23

St. Matthew 5 :38-48

Sunday School will be having the Parish Level Talent Competition; Students are requested to proceed to the Sunday School halls in order to register and compete immediately after refreshments

Men’s Forum, MMVS, & OCYM will all have meetings after refreshments

School Supply Drive- All the school supplies collected will be given to the underprivileged kids in the area. Please bring any school supplies for donation including books, pencils, pens, markers, school bags etc., and drop it off in the box placed in the entrance. This is the last Sunday for collection.

5) No Holy Qurbana- Wednesday, Sep. 12th.

6) Feast of the Holy Cross- Thursday, September 13th; Evening Prayer begins at 6:30pm followed by Holy Qurbana

7) Please also keep in mind the following events later on this year:

MOCF Area Convention- September 15th & 16th at St. Gregorios Orthodox Church, Bensalem beginning at 6pm each night

Bible Study- September 14th beginning at 6:30pm in the residence of Reuben Sam; The main speaker for this Bible Study will be Rev Fr Sujith Thomas Achen and he will speaking about “Faith and School”

GROW Presents: The Waiting Room- September 22nd at St. John’s Orthodox Church- Drexel Hill beginning at 10am

Parish Harvest Festival- October 6th, beginning at 9am
